There's a track from this independently released live worship album currently getting airplay on UCB Europe. When you consider how slim the chances of that happening are (just pause and ponder the gigantic quantities of worship albums released in the UK and the US), a nod must go to all those involved in the radio-toted "Heaven And Earth", an infectious praise romp driven by a seriously sassy brass section. So take a bow Andrew Kisumba (the song's composer), Neil Costello (the session-seasoned veteran who went up to Huddersfield to put the fellowship on tape), Messrs Steve Bavis, Craig Whittingham-Ball, Matthew Carson, Dan James (whom I now henceforth dub the Huddersfield Horns) and the whole Huddersfield Christian Fellowship for producing such refreshingly exuberant praise music that I'll definitely get myself to that church the next time I visit the fair city of Huddersfield (well, to be honest I'm still awaiting my first visit). Elsewhere on this infectious celebration there are several other reasonably good songs, though one quibble is that there is too similar an approach in terms of tempo and arrangement for a sense of sameness to creep in before the close. But that's a minor quibble. I discern God is doing something fresh and exciting in local churches throughout Britain and here's a prime example for what I mean.
