With two exemplary guests in Juliet Roberts and Carleen Anderson this was always going to be an album with a certain R&B appeal. But despite producer Nicky Brown's hardest efforts, it doesn't quite soar into the Sounds Of Blackness stratosphere but then Mr Brown is no Jam & Lewis. There are some strong tracks, the best being "Whenever You Call" where R&B diva Carleen Anderson offers a seriously soulful lead. Can't say I really go for the Diana Ross cover on the title track. But with fine vocal arrangements this is still probably LCGC's best album with excellent leads and some nifty unison work.
