London Community Gospel Choir participate in historic event in Ghana

BRITISH gospel pioneers the London Community Gospel Choir were among the acts playing at the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Elmina Castle, Ghana on 25th March to mark the passing of the British government's Abolition Of The Slave Trade Act 200 years ago. Also appearing at the event were Hugh Masekela, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Zena Edwards and DJ Wali Cham. Plans are now in place to broadcast the historic event on giant screens across the UK with commemorative services taking place in the iconic port cities of Hull, Bristol, Liverpool and London. CR
