Matt Redman and Kevin Prosch with his Black Peppercorns are the two featured artists on this slightly better than average video. The idea for this vid seems to be to give you an idea of what actually goes on during the two weeks of worship, teaching and ministry that is Soul Survivor. What is actually offered is 10 songs by both Matt and Kevin filmed during this year's SS. Sure, though, two weeks of such a respected and well planned youth event did not comprise of just two bands? What about the speakers, the workshops and the fringe events that give festivals like this their character and memorability? Mike Pilavachi shares his vision for the festival and outlines some of the aims whilst Kevin and Matt are given time in interview to share their feelings about the event which obviously run deep. Unfortunately, the sound quality on the tape is fairly bad, although I'm sure the live sound was good considering it was handled by Wigwam. I'm afraid that it certainly detracted from my enjoyment of the video. Highlights include the excellent "Love Is All You Need" by Kevin Prosch and the wonderful "I Will Offer Up My Life" by Mr Redman. If you went to Soul Survivor '95 and want to re-live some of the excellent worship, or if you haven't been and want to know what goes on, then this may be the video for you, if you can cope with the poor sound quality!
