Amy Grant diagnosed with detached right eye retina

DURING A routine ophthalmologic check-up pop and CCM star Amy Grant was diagnosed as having a detached retina in her right eye. She underwent surgery in Nashville and is expected to make a complete recovery. Due to the surgery, concert and TV appearances scheduled for June and July were cancelled.

The singer recently announced her re-signing with Myrrh Records, the Christian label owned by Word Inc with whom she has been recording since the age of 16.
