Marilyn Baker has, of course, been one of the mainstays of UK Christian music for decades. She is a talented pianist and vocalist and has not allowed the fact that she has been blind since childhood to get in the way of a successful singing career. This is a pleasing album packed with original material, performed by Marilyn and accompanied by some brilliant musicians. The songs "Unconditional Love" and "My Heart Is Filled (Greater Is He)" are two of the more upbeat numbers with sing-a-long choruses and catchy tunes. One of the standout tracks for me was "Lord, How I Long To See Your Face", the heartfelt lyrics really make this song but also the feeling conveyed in Marilyn's voice really sets this song apart. The traditional, easy listening style of this worship album with its gentle melodies with rousing choruses, may not appeal to more contemporary tastes but Marilyn executes this style beautifully.
