Known in many circles as Ma Baker, here we have a lady who has been making sweet, adoring music for years now. Although that may be in some ways a slight overstatement it's nonetheless fairly true. For those of you who have not as yet been captivated by Marilyn's breathtakingly simple lines of love and adoration now is the time to come up to date. This particular collection covers songs issued over the last six years. Best album of the lot to be released in that time was 'An Evening With Marilyn Baker' and here you get three from that set - "He's My Saviour, My Friend And My Lord"; the beautiful 'Nothing More Important' and the audience enhanced 'Rest In My Love'. Best single track on the album is the prayer-like 'Do Not Criticise' - OK so there are always things we can slightly disagree with in her lyrics. Eighteen tracks in all make this a delightful compilation - but don't forget to buy Marilyn's 'Face To Face' album full of new material which was released earlier this year, which surpasses much of this earlier stuff.
