There's so much to be positive about on this album of light rock worship songs from the Atlanta, Georgia-based student ministry which has grown to be an international phenomenon and a major source for quality modern worship songs. One of the best things about the collection is the variety and quality of the lead voices. Some singers are of course household names - Matt Redman and Chris Tomlin for instance, while others still building their reputations. The word "anthem" kept coming to me as I listened to these powerful songs - "Remember", with Brett Younker on lead vocals, certainly fits the bill. And yet there are intimate moments as well, as with the beautiful "Simple Pursuit" with Melodie Malone's clear voice subtly bringing home the message. I was particularly impressed by the latest contribution from Crowder - his gutsy voice, acoustic stylings and catchy melody enhance "All We Sinners" which builds to a high point and returns again to the calm. "Your Grace Amazes Me" features the ethereal voice of Christy Nockels and an important message - "Where else could I run but to your arms." Kristian Stanfill takes the lead on a soulful version of Tomlin's "Good Good Father" and it's the perfect way to end the album - expressing love for the Father. These are straight-up worship songs and will act as a support to people of faith.
