Someone should tell American sleeve designers to stop using tourist clichés (union jacks, soldiers in beefeater hats, London buses) every time they feature British artists. But this useful compilation of prime cuts from ‘Come Now Is The Time’, ‘Hungry’ and ‘Holy’ is still worth hearing while the previously unreleased Brenton Brown song “Comfort Me” is a gem. If you haven’t got the source albums and you want the definitive versions of Vicky Beeching’s “Awesome God” (Esther Alexander’s vocals till produces goose bumps), Brian Doerksen’s “Come Now Is The Time” and Marc James’ “Surrender”, this is worth investigating.
