Gospel artist Sandi Patty pulls out of National American tour

CONTROVERSY continues to surround America's top easy listening gospel artist Sandi Patty. In a shock announcement the singer has pulled out of a national American tour she was due to undertake with co headliners 4 Him in February. She said, "Although it seemed the right step to go back on the road and I have been making plans to do so, I have felt God's leading of my heart that this is not the time and I know I am not ready to go on tour."Ms Patty's announcement continued, "I feel for me that I need to do some more healing before I can take a place of spiritual leadership in ministry." In 1992, Patty divorced her husband of 13 years John Helvering. A short time later she made known publicly that she had been sexually abused at the age of six.
