A collection of American folk, gospel and blues songs from the pen of Larry and others and featuring new mixes of songs from ‘Home At Last’, and ‘A Moment In Time’ plus selections from ‘Copper Wires’ plus we get shorter versions of “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”, and “If I Got My Ticket”. Two previously unreleased recordings of “Jesus On The Mainline” and “Man Of Constant Sorrow” will interest collectors. On the whole the new mixes sound better than the originals and the collection sounds pretty pleasing to the ears and the mix of Norman originals plus covers of the Impressions' “People Get Ready” and the Byrds' “Turn, Turn, Turn” work well. Those who own the original albums most of these are taken from may not be thrilled at another compilation but all in all this continues Solid Rock’s recent knack putting some decent sounding compilations together. Newer fans not familiar with the majority of these tracks may want to investigate.
