There's no doubting the Christian rock godfather's brilliance at songwriting, and I've always liked his sense of humour which is well demonstrated by the Hendrix feedback episode at the end of "I Hope I'll See You In Heaven". In fact, you could probably fill an entire album with Larry's raps and stories from between numbers - it's probably already been done, for all I know! Anyways, there's variety aplenty on this CD, from the negro spirituals "If I Got My Ticket" and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot", Tom Howard's legendary "Fish Song" the '70s funk of "I've Searched All Around The World" featuring the awesome Norman Barratt and the mighty closing salvo of "Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music?". Can't knock it, it's textbook, and what's more it's still 100% relevant today.
