I have to admit that the very mention of Veggie Tales to a group of my medical doctor and University lecturer friends inspired a chorus of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" and requests to have a Veggie Tales party. Children not required. There is something genius about cartoons of a singing cucumber and tomato that inspire such reactions in mature adults that can intricately explain in detail why Larry and Bob are actually fruits and not vegetables after all. The theological puzzle as to why a cucumber would need a hairbrush has perplexed entire generations of Christians. Now this boxed set offering every single Veggie Tales silly song compiled for our listening pleasure will no doubt spread the word further. The songs were originally an interlude of silliness located between Veggie Tale vids of biblical parables, so many of the songs such as "Love My Lips" are not noticeably Christian. However, the "Yodelling Veterinarian Of The Alps" has a remarkable healing ministry to penguins. Veggie Tales in general has to be one of the most successful methods of teaching Christian principles to both adults and children. And did you know blueberries have French accents? This box set is likely to feed many people's love of silliness, and may also get you to find out what a Cebu is.
