ULTIMATE EVENT
Date/s: 10 May 2003
Location: Alton Towers, Alton, Staffordshire
Cost: £24.50
Target: Young people
Confirmed speakers/artists: Audio Adrenaline, thebandwithnoname, Parachute Band, Superhero, Supervision
Vision: ³Ultimate Events have three driving forces behind them. Firstly, and probably most essentially, is the Evangelistic emphasis. We seek not just to entertain, but create a non-cringe day so that young people can invite their non-Christian friends with credibility and confidence in a great day out. We believe the Event is like a stick of rock. Wherever you break into it we should be able to see the name of Jesus written through the core. We do this first and foremost because we long to see changed lives. Secondly, we are committed to excellence. The church has had a reputation over years of doing things cap in hand with dare I say a jumble sale mentality. People¹s seconds will do to help God provide!! We firmly believe our nation and our young people deserve the best we can give not just to impress but also to potentially change a generation. We long to see a new move of God in Christian music through British bands. Through mechanisms like the Ultimate Music Showcase we want to encourage and give opportunities to the vast talent out there among British Christian bands.²

WHITBY GOSPEL MUSIC CONVENTION

Vision: "The vision in a nutshell is threefold. It is to evangelise, build up believers and encourage believers to worship and serve God wholeheartedly. I believe that Christ has no plans for us to fail in our vision. Rather, he wants us to triumphantly inherit the promises of our vision. The cost will be our whole-hearted dedication. Anything half-hearted will not do or we miss a great opportunity. We in Whitby need to cherish God's vision, make it our vision and fulfil the vision! The secret of our success will be our faith!"
