Cross Rhythms is probably the only Christian broadcast radio station anywhere in the world to regularly put female rappers onto its playlist. Down the years brilliant lady wordsmiths like GLO, Brea Miles, Erica Mason, Wande, A.I. The Anomaly, Murk and Doe have made it onto CR's airwaves. Now a new name has climbed into the Cross Rhythms Top 10 and listeners are currently connecting with "Paradise" by Toyalove.

Toyalove is a South Carolina native with a serious mission. As she comments, "Just as medicine brings healing to the body; music brings healing to the soul. My mission is to bring others closer to God by using music as a vehicle. When you hear my music, expect to hear a story that is relatable and a saving message that transcends culture and race."

Her upbringing in the local church playing the saxophone and drums exposed her to the musical stylings of not only gospel but jazz and R&B and these moulded her musical palette so that she now has a sound that America's Art & Soul internet radio station proclaims "separates her from the rest." Art & Soul have called Toyalove "fresh, vibrant and unforgettable."

Recording-wise Toyalove has made steady progress. Two singles released in 2018, "Too Lit" and "Mosh Pit", attracted the attention of platforms like Rapzilla and Jam The Hype. Since then she has been busy releasing more singles. Now a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, the fresh vibrancy of "Paradise" is already making some UK hip-hop followers hope she'll get an invitation to come and play Big Church Festival in 2024. CR
