A.C.T.S: 6. L - Listen

I know what you’re thinking. That ACTS doesn’t have an L on the end of it - I know that, but I’m using a bit of artistic licence to prove a point and to make sure your time of prayer is most effective.

The L as it says above is for LISTEN. It's there because we need to spend time listening to God, WE need to be QUIET! Easier said than done right. But it's in the stillness that we find peace, it's in the stillness that the still small voice of calm comes. As we listen, God will talk back to us about the things we’ve talked to Him about.

“Be still and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10

“Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.”
Psalm 4:4

How can you have a one sided relationship where one person talks continually and the other person listens continually? Imagine how God must feel when we don’t want to listen to Him. Spend some time listening this week – He wants to whisper His love songs in your ear!
