Anika Jeacock is another talented artist to emerge from Britain’s grassroots ministry scene. Having sung at big gigs like Kendrick’s ‘Rumours Of Angels’ performance at the NEC, the Stourbridge-based singer has now been in the Rain Dance Music Studios and emerged with this dazzling debut. Five self-composed songs with the funky “Dreamer” probably the most radio friendly (in fact that and “I Need More” have both gotten an airing on Radio One) though “Die For You” and the haunting ballad “You Complete Me” are growing on this reviewer. An expressive voice and considerable production skill make this an arresting release.
