Ira is a British gospel artist who recently released a praise-orientated album 'Give Him The Glory' but now wades in with a much publicized single aimed squarely at the mainstream market. Ira has an excellent, expressive tenor voice and uses it to soulfully emote about one who "with compassion, stretched out a hand, giving hope to the land." But wait, Ira isn't singing about our Lord, but Princess Diana, Princess of Wales! Yes, there really is a need to bring a Christian overview to the life and tragic death of the princess but it will take a way better songwriter than Ira Jackson. Despite the Jesus talk on the sleeve, and a gospel company in the publicity push, this is confused sentimentality with absolutely nothing to contribute to a nation still grieving Diana's loss. Sorry Ira.
