Omarie Fleming (aka M1 aka Ministering 1) is a rapper from the West Indian dual island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis and this album showcases his self-styled brand of reggae-tinged hip-hop. There's plenty to enjoy here from the electro-reggae of the opener "DNA" to the Caribbean collaboration with singer Ali-Dee on "Gimme Christ" with lots of variety in between. M1 references his Christian faith with boldness and certainty throughout but, thanks to the upbeat nature of his home area's indigenous music, this release feels accessible - and ultimately fun - despite the forthright nature of the man's rhymes. In his review, Tony Cummings highlighted the previously released single "Ropopom" as being probably the best Christmas reggae track he'd ever heard. But there is plenty more to savour on this individualistic offering.
