Reviewed by Dave Brassington A compilation album taken from the US Rounder label. It starts off with Del McCoury and his classic soul "Trainwreck Of Emotion", which won him an award as international bluegrass musician of the year a couple of years ago. Next up it's the terrific duo of Ricky Skaggs and Peter Rowan with the first of the gospel tracks "Lost And I'll Never Find The Way". More gospel follows with the exceptional new talent of Beth And April Stevens., "In My Time Of Dying". Another new artist, Jeff White, follows with "I Never Knew". A new group, Longview, have a superb gospel sound- "There's A Brighter Mansion Over There". Lynn Morris then tells us about "Mama's Hand", the superb title track to her album. A new group, Wyatt Rice Santa Cruz, then have "A Picture In A Year". The superb Cox Family then present some of the sweetest gospel sounds around in "Everybody's Reaching Out For Someone". Those veterans Jim And Jesse then present "Hard Hearted", a 1987 re-recording of one of their Starday recordings from the late 1950s. A new talent, James King, gives us "Indecision". IIId Tyme Out, a new group, get us back in the gospel mode with "I'm Working On The Road To Glory Land". The highly acclaimed Johnson Mountain Boys give us "My Better Years". A very good album.
