This is the third volume showcasing the purveyors of C-prog (Christian progressive rock), under the careful eye of Ajalon multi-instrumentalist Randy George. The previous two releases have been built around some of the better known names in the genre but this time the compilation has a distinctly international flavour with tracks from Apple Pie from Russia and Unitopia from Australia as well as a bevy of American acts like Ted Leonard (the lead singer of the band Enchant), Ad Astra, Greg Wollan, Mike Florio and Everlasting Arms. The best known artist on this set is Phil Keaggy, undoubtedly one of Christendom's finest when it comes to guitarists. On a number of his projects I have found myself wishing that Keaggy would really cut loose, and here it happens, on a new recording of "Passport" (a song originally heard on his 1985 'Getting Closer' album). With George on bass and keyboards and fellow Ajalon member Dan Lile on drums, the new version is a complete delight. Clearly Christian progressive rock is flourishing and this album deserves to be investigated by all lovers of the genre.
