A compilation of choice cuts from artists heavily featured at the Dove Awards, the annual bash where America's Gospel Music Association pat on the back the best selling acts. So you've got good tracks from Third Day, Nichole Nordeman, MercyMe, TobyMac, Joy Williams, Audio Adrenaline, Rebecca St James and (surprise) Britain's Tim Hughes. But pride of place on the CD is "Friends 2003", a multi-artist tribute to Michael W Smith meant to honour Michael's 20 years in the Christian music industry. So what starts as a rather pretty inspirational duet between Michael and Amy is transformed into OTT kitch once the voices of Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael Tait, Point Of Grace, Mac Powell, Anointed, Joy Williams and Avalon are added. If you enjoy this version you can only be an American citizen.
