More quirky dance music from American unsigned artists, though Psalmistr/s "Something About Your Love" is also part of this compilation. The tempo may stay between 128 and 132bpm for over an hour, but the 17 tracks provide plenÂty of variety: quasi big-beat industrial sounds on the opener "There's A God In My Garage"; Sudanese chants on Infinitropolis' lively afro groove; the social comment by No Laughing Matter; and the Robert Miles piano influenced "Belief" by Prophetica. The good is mixed with the not so good, the innovative with the plagiarized, the new with the old (three previously released tracks by N-Soul artists). The continuous mixing keeps the music flowing, though is more functional than creative. This album will appeal mostly to those who like things to be slightly unusual, without completely alienating the masses!
