Kingsway has brought together 24 tracks from live festival and event recordings featuring classic hymns (and a few modern ones) led by contemporary worship leaders such as Robin Mark, Stuart Townend, Kate Simmonds and Matt Redman. Traditional church choirs this ain't! These tracks feature the worship bands from these events interpreting age-old tunes for today's generation, yet they preserve the dignity and power of such classics as "Be Thou My Vision", "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah", "Crown Him With Many Crowns" and "When I Survey The Wondrous Cross". Kingsway have for some reason decided not to name individual singers, musicians or events except for a sentence on the back cover, but I'm guessing that several Celtic-sounding arrangements hail from Robin Mark, and I recognised Matt Redman on "What A Wonderful Saviour". If you've bought any Kingsway live worship event albums in the last few years you will already have some of these tracks, but as a package they create a powerful worship experience that bridges several centuries.
