'Event Hymns 2' is part of Kingsway's series that aims to capture "the passion of live worship." The songs are recorded live from the Mandate, Catch The Fire and Stoneleigh conferences and are led by the likes of Stuart Townend, Robin Mark and Kate Simmonds. As the title suggests, this CD is dedicated particularly to hymns, old and new, from Isaac Watts to Stuart Townend, some triumphant, some reflective. The highlight for me has to be Stuart Townend's and Keith Getty's joyful, anthemic "In Christ Alone".
