To accompany the final instalment in US Christian filmmaker Darren Wilson's documentary trilogy, this compilation brings together an array of different artists to signify the relationship God has with his children. The stirringly anthemic opener - sharing the same name as the film - sees in form worship outfit Jesus Culture kick things off in style before Oregon band The Neverclaim call on the Holy Spirit in the powerful "Revival" which features a memorable vocal performance from lead singer Jeremiah Carlson. As seems the case in many of today's worship releases, there is an overriding Coldplay feel to proceedings with pounding guitar lines and gang vocals aplenty but the compilers have at least tried to keep things varied with Citizen Way's Ben Calhoun attempting some bluegrass in "Jesus Set Me Free" whilst the slightly forced rap of Jaeson Ma's "Still Undefeated" further cements the film's main theme of God's redemptive love for us. Elsewhere, Marc Ford's "Call Me Faithful" sounds wonderfully like the Eagles whilst Jake Hamilton's delightfully riff-laden "The Father" adds some extra punch halfway through before things settle back down to default worship mode in the likes of Ben and Kelly Smith's "Where There Is Love" and Dustin Lau's "We Are Waiting". Not a ground-shattering release by any means but certainly one that celebrates God's fatherhood and gives something of a shop window for artists who are perhaps less recognised than they should be.
