Reviewed by Tony Cummings A worship album focusing on Christ alone - a worthy, but hardly "unique" concept as the sleeve-notes suggest. All tunes here are new, being created by the legendary Charlie Peacock, who also co-produced the disc (along with Scott Dente), plays keyboards and dons lead vocals on the rather banal "Simple song". The tunes are of the inspirational, mid-paced type, and feature beautiful front vocals from the likes of Cindy Morgan, Chris Rice, Christine Dente and Margaret Becker. The fine tones of lesser-known rock musician Taylor Sorensen appear on two tracks (the latter having a slight blues feel), while Nirva Dorsaint - new name to me - adds soulful delight to another. My favourites are the genuinely worshipful "Kneel Down" and Sara Groves emotive take on "Right My Soul". Lyrically meaningful and musically pleasing, this is a fine recording indeed, though I'm not sure it has the substance required to make it easily remembered in, say, two years time.
