CCM samplers come in all shapes and sizes but this 15-track item put together by Authentic offers four excellent British artists (The Gentlemen, thebandwithnoname, Four Kornerz and Shell) and 11 equally good American acts (Stellar Kart, Building 429, BarlowGirl, Jeff Deyo and many more). Standouts include the Four Kornerz' radio hit "Better Days", the underrated singer/songwriter Nate Huss and the punchy
pop rock of BarlowGirl though wherever you look you will find something to investigate. Once or twice the choice of tracks is slightly questionable (eg, there are a lot better cuts on thebandwithnoname's classic 'Dying To Be There' album than "Pull Up The Vinyl") but on the whole this is an excellent introduction to the current state of Anglo American CCM circa 2007.
