As many will know, Forerunner Music is the label for Kansas City's International House Of Prayer that has been operating a 24/7 prayer room with live worship teams since 19th September 1999. This album features 15 songs from such IHOPKC worship leaders as Jonas & Laura Hackett Park, Jaye Thomas, Jon Thurlow, Justin Rizzo, Lauren Alexandria and others. It is a strong album, carefully produced. The best song for me is the title track by Abi Bennett. This is her recording debut and it's really got all you need for a perfect worship song. I loved her line "My life has the fingerprints of Christ." "Awake My Soul" is a brilliant opener; short but passionate. Other favourites were "How Awesome Are Your Works", an anthem of Scripture-based praise, and "Heart's Celebration"; both catchy songs delivered by Laura Hackett Park. She also duets with her husband on "Grateful Love", a more lyrical moment with obligato 'cello. "Jesus My Brother" sung by Chris Tofilon brings us the passion story with real gravitas. Nice voice, clear vocal and the full synth backing sound. Forerunner/IHOP continue to make powerful, passionate worship music.
