Many popular worship leaders including Noel Richards, Paul Oakley and Matt Redman are included in ‘Global Gathering’ to promote the vision of a Global Gathering of praise. The Champion Of The World event held at Wembley Stadium in the summer of 1997 was the largest Christian music event ever staged at a UK venue. This was the culmination of a vision of Noel Richard's that began almost 10 years previously to see stadiums used for large worship events. More stadium events are planned and 2005 will see the Olympic Stadium in Berlin play host to probably the largest yet (see www.callingallnations.com). This album is a collection of songs put together by Richards and Les Moir to be used in the stadiums. As far as worship albums go there is little new here with the now almost statutory renditions of "Let Everything That Has Breath" and "Lord Let Your Glory Fall". Saving the album though are more recent offerings from Chris Tomlin, 100 Hours and some live CD-ROM video footage from The Champion Of The World. The video shows the contrasting styles of worship leading from Noel himself and a very young looking Matt Redman.
