The idea behind this project was to capture the feelings and experiences of Christmas in music. To do this producers Charlie Peacock and Scott Dente have assembled an impressive list of singers for the sessions including Amy Grant, Ginny Owens, Christy Nockels, Michael W Smith, Christine Dente, Cindy Morgan and more. 'Gloria' combines both new arrangements of traditional songs and brand new songs. The production quality is as good as you could wish for and there are some real gems hiding in here. The downside is that it comes across as a little bit twee and some of the songs are a bit too syrupy sweet. If you are looking for a Christmas album with a contemporary feel then this is as good a place to start as any.
