Simple idea, hold a festival and release a compilation of artists who played there. Godfest 1999 featured some of the best Australian independent artists so this compilation is an excellent opportunity to sample the Christian music scene in Oz, and discover that there is indeed life outside of Hills! Predominantly rockist, there is one token foray into dance (Iron And Clay) but this is, generally, different shades of rock, You get blues rock from Jamie Boyd and John Segond, full on rifforama from Brotherhood Lush, quirky rock from The (wonderfully named I think!) Dwarfs and a bit of intensity from Aroma. If you like Christian rock, move to Australia. Or for the cheaper option, buy this!
