The second in the 'Gospel 4 You' series gives an opportunity for you to sample some of the hottest underground gospel music in the UK. An independent production with a view to raising the profile of the UK scene, this collection is packed with music! And there are plenty of new acts for you to discover. Highlights include Dee Moore's tough R&B opener "Don't Wait" which makes me think it's time we heard a full album from this Birmingham talent. Staying in Birmingham, the brilliant "Get Ya Praize On" from Zorro, a local DJ, mixes a solid groove with plenty of humour and a powerful message. There are plenty of sweet soul harmonies on Tasha's "Come On Over This Way" and AZ-1 create a cool piece of catchy R&B on "Enough Is Enough". The album finishes with the unusual step of including various types of uncompromising testimony over a variety of musical backings. Consequently there is no doubting the spiritual intent of the album. There are still elements of reggae and garage coming through, especially in the second half of the album but overall this has more of an R&B flavour to it than the first in the series. Anything that encourages the UK gospel scene has got to be a positive step forward and this is a fabulous way to discover a pile of new talent.
