Digging into the Gospo Centric vaults, this compilation pulls out a mixed bag of goodies for gospel fans to enjoy. Blending together a mixture of live and studio cuts, choirs and solo artists, the variation here works well. You get 13 songs and the highlights include the smooth soulfuness of Dorinda Clark-Cole's "If It Had Not Been For The Lord" and The McClurkin Project's gospel remake of "Hallelujah Chorus". As you'd imagine, it's impossible not to include a little Kirk Franklin so "Revolution" is here along with Trin-I-Tee 5:7's "God's Grace". My absolute favourite is the much underrated Natalie Wilson's "Act Like You Know" which grooves along very nicely indeed. With other songs from Stephanie Mills, Walter Hawkins, Dave Hollister and Kurt Carr, this is a good little compilation.
