The latest in Integrity's excellent gospel collection series, this release contains 28 selections to help you experience some of the strongest gospel talent around at the moment. The discs are themed differently, disc one being entitled 'On The Street' and disc two, 'In The House', and the songs range from church-environment traditional gospel to more modern R&B-based styles. CD 1 kicks off very strongly with the previously unreleased "Love Him Like I Do" from Ruben Studdard, Deitrick Haddon and Mary Mary that will certainly have you grooving. Other highlights are the infectious celebration of Jesus' victory, "No Defeat" from Hezekiah Walker And The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, Virtue's passionate prayer for God to "Fall Again", and the classic sound of soul diva Patti Labelle singing the old gospel warhorse "Walk Around Heaven". There are a few weaker tracks, in particular the rather superfluous "Megamix" at the end of the first CD, which just crashes between eight different tracks in a pretty inelegant fashion. However, overall this is another great opportunity to sample some of the great breadth of gospel music both trad and urban currently available. Whether you would yet call yourself a gospel fan or not this is certainly worth exploring.
