The latest edition of the big selling 'Gotta Have Gospel' series is bursting at the seams with 26 great tracks. The double CD compilation includes tracks from well known favourites such as Mary Mary, Deitrick Haddon and Kirk Franklin. There are also songs from new artist such as Crystal Aikin, The Murrills and Shari Addison. Many of the tracks included on this CD are upbeat R&B songs with the occasional slow ballad. As it turns out, there are two exceptional ballads featured here, the first being "I Desire More" sung passionately by Crystal Aikin, the second "Great is Your Mercy" sung with soulful assurance by Donnie McClurkin. The upbeat tracks are so strong it is hard to pick out a few that stand out. Mary Mary's "God in Me" is a powerhouse with Kierra "Kiki" Sheard adding to the sister's vocal armoury while Israel Houghton delivers another punchy performance on "Just Wanna Say". The surprise track is "Jesus Promised Me A Home Over There"performed By Jennifer Hudson. There is no question that this young lady is a consummate new talent. All in all, a quality sampler.
