This mid-price sampler CD provides a range of artists: the "great women" (not sure about that description when you believe in a Gospel of grace) include Vanessa Bell Armstrong, various Winans, Denise Clark and Out Of Eden. The music ranges from classic choirs with powerful frontline vocals through contemporary R&B to ballads. Needless to say, the voices are impeccable, even astonishing. Apart from a saccharine treatment of "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" by CeCe and Mom Winans this is a good introduction for anyone considering dipping their toes in the gospel water to consider. You'll be dancing, testifying and buying some of the CDs featured.
