With Rastafarism having dominated the religious movement within reggae, it's only recently that Christianity has begun to make a showing within reggae. The mood has swept across to Trinidad, where this Sherwin Gardner-produced compilation shows the artists riding reggae, dancehall and soca rhythms as they praise the Lord. Standouts include the Garnett Silk and Morgan Heritage echoing reggae singer Sheldon Benji's tracks, such as "Look To The Lord", Toada featuring Winter & Banton's infectious soca "Everything We Do", Golden Judah featuring Sherwin Gardner's soul-tinged soca "Hip Hip Hurray", Toada's pointed hip-hop/dancehall socio-commentary which puts "Sex" within a Biblical context, and Benji, Toada & Banton's anti-violence roots reggae cut "Bad Man Story". An intriguing compilation.
