This cheap and cheerful box set brings together four oldies, 1998's 'Word In The House' by (an uncredited) Motor City Mass Choir and produced by the famed Fred Hammond and even including one or two of the maestro's vocals, 1999's 'Revival In The House' by the same choir (but now with a front sleeve billing), 1999's 'Glory In The House' with one-time Commissioned man Keith Staten and 2000's 'Faith In The House' by Bishop Andrew Merritt and the Straight Gate Mass Choir. The problem identified with these albums when originally released was that not all the songs featured here are top quality and too often the praise on offer is an uneasy hybrid of trad gospel and urban sounds. Still, if you missed these releases and you're keen on the African American take on worship music you might want to investigate this box.
