The unexpected success of the Christmas musical ‘It’s A Boy’ conceived by evangelist/escapologist Steve Legg took many by surprise, but now few can doubt that this, the followup Easter musical, will be a sales hit, particularly with the good folk at Furious? behind it. An intriguing set of guest vocalists – Big Ben (of the pop duo Phats And Small), Cathy Burton, Graham Kendrick, Maggie Weaver and Jim Bailey sing the tuneful songs, mostly written by the album’s producer Simon Goodall – while the narration by famed TV actor Russell Boulter is a succinct account of the last days of Jesus’ life. Moving in its simplicity.
