Reviewed by Tom Lennie Like its two predecessors, this is a batch of 50 recent songs to complement the Kingsway Songs 003 CD-ROM songbook. Like its predecessors, too, songs are not grouped in a carefully pre-arranged format, but appear in alphabetical order. And what an eclectic assortment it is. Plenty of big names appear with their own songs - Matt Redman, Paul Oakley, Tim Hughes, Robert Critchley, Noel Robinson, Lou Fellingham, Gareth Robinson, Joel Houston, etc. There's plenty of slightly less-famed names, too, such as Scotland's own Andrew Mitchell, Simon Brading, Andy Bromley, Lex Buckley, Nick Herbert, etc. But, on top of all that, there's a number of names that I was previously unfamiliar with. Only a small percentage of the worship songs here are already in regular use across Britain's churches. But that makes this a fascinating collection of lesser-known praise tunes, of various tempos and styles. Each disc truly makes for an absorbing listen. If there's any drawback it's that there's no CD inserts with song lyrics and credits (you have to buy the songbook ROM for that!), and the listings on the back of the CD case are a bit small to read (but with 50 songs to account for, I guess that's understandable!). Certainly some songs catch your attention more than others. But there's some great songs here - making it a good resource for worship leaders as well as a good buy for worshippers seeking something fresh.
