Reviewed by David Bain This is simply one hot compilation. Not only that but it is only £6.99, and worth every penny and more. Contributions come from Priesthood, Dynamic Twins, T-Bone, K2S, Jenny, Swift, J-Raw, Papa Bamm, D-Smooth and Mista Grimm. Devoted rap fans may recognise some of the 11 full tracks, gathered from the last five years of holy hip hop. Outstanding cuts have to be “Puttin’ It Down” with the gritty talents of T-Bone, Priesthood’s “Closer” with its fine rapping over a relentless bass groove and the opening title track where rhythm and rhyme combine to lift the soul. Lyrically this album gives deep meaningful poetry about everything from the hardship of life as a Christian to praying for our nations and cities. Almost every style of hip hop is represented here from laid back to in-ya-face and I would have no problem playing this to my non-Christian friends. In addition, this is an enhanced CD so if you have a computer you can access videos, interactive lyrics and a mini-version of Bible Browser (complete Bible text, word search, screen saver and daily devotional programme in English and Spanish). This was a pleasure to listen to and is sure to please any hip hop fan; find it and buy it!
