American-born Wes King is a Christian contemporary singer/songwriter who has, of course, enjoyed major US success before, in 2005, being diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of lymphoma. Friend and producer Craig Mason had already been planning a tribute album for Wes King and felt it right to carry on with this project, spurred on by the current situation. With much support and love from a variety of American Christian artists (including some fairly unknown ones) this recording is the final result of Craig's efforts. Released during the summer of this year, its proceedings go toward paying for Wes's medical expenses. The album itself is a double CD comprising 27 songs from a variety of different bands/artists. My favourites include "Excavate" by Downhere, "Since I Was A Kid" by Goodbye Audio and also "Do You Tremble" by Shelley Moore Band. This album has a good range of sound to suit many musical tastes with other artists featured including Paul Colman, The Kry, Cheri Keaggy, Scott Krippayne and Sweden's Charizma. It would be hard for you to not find something you liked on this recording. This album is worth a purchase if not only for your own personal pleasure then for the benefit of Wes King.
