Following on from the New Song Café instructional DVDs, Worship Together have enlisted the services of some of the worship scene's most prolific writers to produce a songbook of 13 relatively new worship songs. Refreshingly, the bulk of the material is from less prominent bands and writers with the likes of Texan band Leeland ("Beautiful Lord") and California-based Jadon Lavik ("Hear Our Song") sitting comfortably alongside worship heavyweights Brenton Brown ("Everlasting God" and "Hosanna"), Delirious? ("Now Is The Time") and Charlie Hall ("All We Need.") Whilst the obligatory sheet music and chord charts are the main feature, this package offers much more and includes a CD featuring the songs as played by their original artists. In addition, each song contains a mini biography of its writer, Scripture references and a fascinating section on how the song came about thus giving more power to the elbow of the everyday worship leader when selecting relevant worship material. This is a well thought out resource that will prove to be valuable to any group seeking to keep their worship times fresh.
