'People Get Ready', released a good while back, was the first attempt to put an album behind the hugely successful Left Behind novels. The usual trouble with compilation albums is that the tracks cover such a wide range of music it's tricky to remain objective about the whole package, enjoying just one, four, six and 10 but hating two, five, eight and nine is not unknown. On this album the powerful message manages to hold up all tracks as a successful combination. I have enjoyed listening to this album and have re-played the tracks "Come Quickly Lord" sung by Rebecca St James and my favourite, "Horses", performed very powerfully by Margaret Becker. 'People Get Ready' is an excellent CD, either accompanying the books or just by itself. The disc will also run a short CD ROM package on most PCs, making this a truly versatile addition to the most comprehensive of collections.
