Reviewed by Megumi Nakamura What do you get when you put 18 artists on the same CD? Well, in this case, when Tooth & Nail Records did it, it turned out to be an amazing CD! With one purchase, you receive 18 very different songs, with different artists and musical styles, basically, some pretty exciting 73 minutes. There are some well-known bands on this CD, including Joy Electric and Britain's very own Fire Fly. But there are also some little known bands, so the mixture brings you lots of surprises! Ultraviolet's song, "Trials Of Love", mixes a dance and rock style by bringing in dance loops and rock guitars and vocals, all in one track. One of the down sides of this compilation is that so many of the bands seem to be heavily influenced by 1982 period Depech Mode and early synth pop. Consequently, a lot of the tracks are samey. However, if you're into this style of music, this album gives you the chance to discover a pile of new artists.
