Kingsway insist on giving this series the subtitle '20 of the most popular songs and hymns for today's church.' Well, if this is volume 16, then these are numbers 301 to 320 in the list, which, when you consider that some of the songs on this CD are of the quality of Matt Redman's "Once Again", "Knocking On The Door Of Heaven" and "Undignified", the Hillsong opus "And That My Soul Knows Very Well", and Ian White's "Pre-Revival Days", is patently preposterous. Anyone with any sort of record collection will have most of these already, so Kingsway can only be aiming at those new to praise and worship music. But then, newcomers would surely want the latest stuff, so the re-release of this material, none of which is more recent than 1997, seems more and more puzzling. Good music, shame about the marketing.
