Another cheap and cheerful boxed reissue of three old catalogue items, this time 1992's 'Praise Him On The Guitar' by Albie Harrup (the acoustic guitar, naturally), 1996's 'Praise Him On The Flute & Harp' by The Corinth Duo (Claire Langan on flute and Rachel Davies on harp) and 1997's 'Praise Him On The Panpipes: The Very Best Of Simon Bernard-Smith'. It's the presence of this last album which stops me recommending these pleasant instrumental renditions to lovers of liltingly gentle meditative music. For, as you could guess from its title, 'Praise Him On The Panpipes: The Very Best Of Simon Bernard-Smith' is in fact a compilation of recordings by the virtuoso earlier in the decade so those attempting to get the whole 'Praise Him Revisited' series will find they've got tracks already and in fact it's 'Praise Him Revisited Revisited'. Thoughtless compiling which does no credit to Authentic.
