Representing God's Kingdom are a London gospel production company who are bringing a welcome streetwise vibe to Britain's Christian music scene. We were a bit quick off the mark in reviewing the wonderful languid R&B hip hop cut by the Elements in CR52, but now as well as that gem (check out the soulful vocal and rap from Leeds-based Sons Of Light's Lanne) you've also got a haunting garage groove from Chantelle & Jahdine, asking a wayward sister why she's wasting time with a worthless romance; Instrumental Productions (who perversely aren't instrumental but feature some delicious soul sisters - shame the lyric is get-in-the-groove clichés) and Rowena Escoffrey who on two mixes of the shimmeringly soulful "Hallelujah" shows she's lost none of her diva authority. There is also an apocalyptic sermon complete with a hip hop bed, bonus instrumental and a bit of streetwise speech. A killer EP recommended to every fan of R&B and hip hop.
