The seventh in the budget priced series of reggae influenced worship albums once again features numbers from staple vocalists from previous volumes (Osmond Collins, Hensley King, and Denzil Dennis to name but three), plus a selection of tracks from other artists. Once again there are a handful of familiar songs and hymns given a gospel reggae makeover ("Stand Up For Jesus" and "Rock Of Ages") plus one or two that aren't really reggae or gospel at all (Bill Withers' "Lean On Me" and Karl Nova's less than exciting rap "Jesus Walks"). There's some mixed vocal performances too, ranging from the good (Osmond Collins' "Thank You For My Jesus") to the rather poor (George Nooks' "Lean On Me"). Probably the best tracks are Hensley King's rendition of 'Rock of Ages' and the self-written and produced 'You're Gonna Lose' by Norris Weir that closes the album. In truth, with a budget price, it's hardly going to set the reggae world ablaze, the packaging is almost identical to all the previous volumes, and most of the production is adequate but no more. A solid compilation if you haven't tried this kind before, but at volume seven, might just be running out of ideas if you've got the previous six.
